Although many foreigners may bring things with them from abroad, it usually works out much cheaper to buy everything in Thailand. Here are a few suggestions to make everything go a little smoother.

There are literally thousands of jewelers and gold shops in Bangkok. lf you are going to buy wedding rings here, only buy from a reputable dealer. The Jewel Fest Club (JFC) founded by the Tourism Authority of Thailand in 1995 represents a joint effort by the Royal Government of Thailand and the private sector to establish quality standards and promote ethical operations in the gems and jewelry trade in Thailand.
Today the JFC consists of more than 50 respectable gems and jewelry companies who have agreed to adopt high standards of product quality, conduct their business in good faith based on ethical standards, and provide customer satisfaction. Products bought from a JFC shop also carey a money-back guarantee. lf buyers have reason to believe that the goods they bought from a JFC member are not of the standards claimed, goods can be returned for a refund. Remember that you can also get a VAT refund on all purchases at the airport when leaving Thailand.
Wedding Dresses and Suits

Many resorts and hotels will offer a full wedding catering service and can create your wedding cake. This is often the best solution as the chefs are very experienced and offer outstanding buffets or sit-down dinners at a competitive price.

Couples can choose from an elegant cocktail menu, spectacular buffet, impressive a la carte dining or a sit-down banquet, each available according to Western or Asian tastes, including Thai and Chinese.
